Adding a fixture type

Before adding channels, we need to tell the software which type of fixture we wish to use, click here to add or edit a fixture type.

Firstly, select the object you wish to create; a lighting fixture, coloured object, laser or another type of object. Select your fixture type from the dropdown box provided and enter the dimensions and weight of your fixture. You can also add your own photo by clicking “picture”.

Most of the information you provide here isn’t mandatory, however the more information you provide about your fixture, the more accurate the profile will be. Continue entering RDM, lamp, light beam angle and pan/tilt settings.

Some fixtures may have more than one light beam, for example one LED block maybe have four groups of LEDs arranged in a special way, or you may have a scanner with 8 mirrors. The light beam tool allows you to add additional light beams and modify their positions.
